By utilizing the URX II rail system with our integrated front sight, we have developed one of the most compact and simplest Short Barrel Rifles (SBR) on the market. The URX equipped on this system extends the full length of the barrel and allows the operator an unobstructed forward view while providing numerous options for mounting optics and other accessories. Our 11.5-inch SBR is ideal for Competition Shooters, as well as providing unique capabilities for our Law Enforcement and Military communities.

SR-15E3 IWS CQB SBR

This system is the newest line of Short Barrel Rifles (SBR) offered by Knight’s Armament Co. to the commercial market. The SR15 SBR Carbine features some of the latest technology to come out of our facility, including the light weight URX 3.1 13.5-inch rail system, which extends the full length of the 14.5” dimpled chrome lined Medium profile barrel.
This new system continues to utilize the KAC SBR marked IWS lower assembly with its Ambidextrous Features, Match Trigger, and integrated Push Button swivel attachments.

Development started in 2007 with the idea to create a more vertical grip for the AR-15 platform, reducing wrist fatigue of the Operator while encouraging a more natural ‘elbows down’ shooting posture. Magpul Design Group was consulted to exploit their knowledge, experience, and expertise of advanced polymers. Several prototypes were fielded and tested with the superior design chosen for production.
This final variation, number 23, represents the combination of professional shooter feedback and engineering excellence.
